Steven Leas (Tenor) started singing at the age of 12 in choirs and performed in various stage productions including “The Sound of Music” and “The King and I”. Steven is cantor of the Great Portland Street Synagogue and has sung at numerous Synagogues around the world, including America, London, Israel and Australia.

He has made numerous television appearances singing Cantorial, Opera and Musical songs. He has performed in many stage productions including “Millennium Magic” together with The South African Symphony Orchestra and performed in Israel with the Ra’anana Symphonette under the direction of Eldud Schrem. This last year has seen a tour to Atlanta and Australia where he performed Operatic Arias together with Orchestra. Steven’s latest performance was with Willard White in a programme entitled “Senator, The Duke and Shostakovich”.

Steven is the Chazan / Cantor of the Central Synagogue in Great Portland Street, London and officiates at weddings both in the Synagogue and at any venues requested by the wedding families.

With over 10 years experience at weddings and functions, Steven can provide a large variety of options based upon your families’ preferences that will make your special occasion unique Keyboard, choir, violin, clarinet, flute and anything from a 2 piece band to 20 piece band can be rranged as required.

Steven can sing any music ranging from pop to opera to traditional Israeli dancing, and will also use specialist singers to sing particular types of music like Soul or Rock.
